Project Postcard
Thursday, October 8, 2020
Project Postcard is a way to support our local community through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting isolation it has caused for so many of us. To serve our region’s most vulnerable populations and foster connections through the arts, the City of Moses Lake Museum & Art Center is pleased to introduce a new social connecting campaign, Project Postcard! This community-wide campaign will feature original artwork commissioned from local artists that can be colored in using your creativity. The Museum will distribute card packets and instructions to anyone willing to help out in the month of October, then collect and distribute the completed cards and messages of care to residents of assisted living homes, care facilities, and health care workers. Join us in this opportunity to focus and share what we are grateful for while honoring and encouraging our most vulnerable populations.
How you can help:
• Pick up a Project Postcard packet at the Museum in the month of October
• Take packet home and get coloring with crayons, pencils, or markers
• Write a message of comfort and care on the reverse
• Return the cards to the Museum by November 6, 2020; museum staff will distribute the cards to local nursing homes, health care facilities, and assisted living homes in November and December.
