The Moses Lake City Council has one vacancy on the Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services Advisory Board. Qualified applicants must reside in the City, or in the City’s urban growth area outside the corporate limits of the City. The purpose of the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Advisory Board is to review and make recommendations to the Moses Lake City Council, City Manager, and Director to needs including: formulation of policy and plans for development, management and operation of the City parks and recreation program, promoting parks, recreation and cultural services programs to the community, setting standards for park maintenance, coordinating museum exhibits and activities, setting goals for short-term and long-term future of the City’s museum and park system, serving as citizens’ input concerning parks, recreation, and cultural services, generally, and monitoring and evaluating the park system and museum activities.
The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services advisory board is composed of seven members appointed by a majority vote of the City Council without regard to political affiliation. The current vacancy will be for full four-year term scheduled to end or have reappointment Dec. 31, 2025. Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
