Traffic Detour Plan and Schedule available for Love’s Travel Stop project

MOSES LAKE ― The most current Traffic Detour Plan and Schedule for the Love’s Travel Stop project along I-90 are available here: Schedule, Detour Plan.

Work on Sage Road is projected to continue on or through Monday, Sept. 20, according to the project schedule provided by Love’s.

The overall project is expected to be finished on Dec. 5.

Once curbing, asphalt paving, and lighting are complete on Sage Road, work moves to Idaho Road, Pritchard Road, and finally, to Laguna Drive.

Projected timeline:

  • Sage Road is due to reopen on Sept. 20.
  • The upcoming closure of Idaho Road is planned for Sept. 21 or 27, depending on the completion of Sage Road, will result in a detour. Further details on the detour and lane closures will be posted once available. 
  • Idaho Road is scheduled to be closed for three weeks, until about Oct. 11 or 18. 

During this period, it is recommended that drivers allow extra time to reach their destinations, and observe posted speed limits through detours.

Emergency Services Note:  In the last meeting with Washington State Department of Transportation and the City, the contractor agreed to make provisions for Emergency Services Passage (police, ambulance and fire fighting)  throughout any closures. 

The contractor was very clear and assured the City that Emergency Services will have passage.
