Josh Ryan McDonald is a Seattle-based painter attempting to tell a story through his own created symbolism. HOUSE WREN showcases a series of recent paintings of various sizes. Each describes the internal dialogue and abstracted aesthetic of the artist's transcending mind. A look back at the natural structure and landscape of an Oregon farm, the aesthetic and colors of a mid-century ranch house, and the creatures and flora that inhabit an area known as the high desert. Josh directs each scene through a geometric lens, filtering through the small realisms of this disrupted landscape.
