Learn how to make natural dyes from plants in this fun, informative, beginner-level class. Students will learn about which plants make good dyes, mordants, and historic facts about plant-based dyeing. We will be dyeing wool yarn to learn the process. Students may bring their own all-natural yarn (100% animal or plant fiber) to try in the dye baths. Some material and processes from the spring dye class will be repeated. All materials included. Museum members are eligible for discounts on classes.
