WATV Ordinance
Effective April 17, 2017, the City Council adopted Ordinance 2857 which allows Wheeled All Terrain Vehicles (WATVs) on certain City streets with speed limits of 35 mph or less. See map (PDF or interactive).
Operator Requirements
- Operator must be 18 years old or older
- Operator must have a valid driver's license
- Operator and passenger must wear motorcycle helmets, unless the WATV has seatbelts and roll bars or an enclosed passenger compartment
- Operator must have proof of liability insurance

- Tail lamps
- Stop lamp
- Reflectors
- Turn signals
- Rear view mirrors
- Windshield or glasses/goggles/face shield
- Horn

- Spark arrester or muffling device
- Seat belts and Car Seats RCW 46.61.687 and 46.61.688
