Governing Codes for ADA Compliance
Chapter 11 of the International Building Code titled Accessibility, and the accompanying state amendments, address the design and construction of facilities for accessibility to physically disabled persons.
Section 3411 of this code addresses accessibility for existing buildings that undergo a change of occupancy, or have alterations and or additions added to existing buildings.
