Pieced Together Mural Project
call for artists 1.jpg
Columbia Basin Allied Arts, Moses Lake Museum & Art Center, and Grant County Fairgrounds are launching year two of the Grant County "Pieced Together" Mural Project during the annual Grant County Fair. This is a five-year project to not only beautify the Grant County Fairgrounds, but to exhibit our diverse landscapes, commerce, and history. This year, we are calling for five mural artists, one to represent each of the following Grant County cities: Moses Lake, Ephrata, Soap Lake, Royal City and Quincy.

The Mural Booth at the fairgrounds will feature at least one (1) guest artist each day, plus family friendly painting activities. Activities will be staffed by volunteers. We encourage artists to interact with visitors to the booth.

  • Each artist will create a 4'x4' mural to represent one of the five cities
  • 4'x4' mural base, paint and sealant will be provided.
  • Each artists must commit to attending at least one (1) day at the painting booth at the Grant County Fairgrounds between August 15-19, 2017.
  • Each artist will receive a $300 stipend.
  • All artwork must be finished and ready for installation by the last day of the fair (Saturday, August 19 at 3:00 pm).
