When Is a Permit Required?
Building Permits & Inspections
Scheduling an Inspection
Inspection should be scheduled with the Building Department at least 24 hours in advance or at least by 5:00 pm for next-day inspections by calling (509) 764-3756. When requesting an inspection, you will need:
Permit number (located on the inspection record card and the upper corner of the building permit)
We will try to accommodate same day requests for inspections if called in before 9:00 am.
If you need to schedule a specific time for a particular inspection, please contact the inspector the day before or by 8:30 am the day of the requested inspection.
Please have the following on the job site at the time of inspection:
Inspection record card. The inspection record card will be signed by the building inspector after each inspection phase is approved. This card is returned to the City at the completion of the job and kept in the property address file.
Electrical Permits and Inspections
All electrical permits and inspections in Moses Lake are performed by the State
