October 3, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Civic Center Auditorium
Join local historian Mick Qualls as he discusses Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt's visit to Moses Lake (Neppel) in 1934, complete with photographs.
After a long, hot, dusty journey to visit the Grand Coulee Dam site, Eleanor is quoted with saying "Whoever sold Franklin on this dam was an awfully good salesman", so Franklin took her all the way to Neppel to show her Frank Bell's ranch to see something green.
