This two-day class is perfect for fans, teens through adult, of fantasy television series and games such as Game of Thrones, Myst, House of DaVinci, or Dungeons & Dragons! Draw your own realm in the style of ancient mariners with land masses, geographical features, and landmarks, developing the “story” as you draw. Your first day you will establish your land mass, seas and oceans, rivers and streams, cardinal points, and coastlines. You will also plan your geological features such as mountains, hills, deserts, canyons, volcanos, and caves. Your second day will teach you to draw specific landmarks, such as villages and farms, forests, orchards and farmlands, ruins, and other structures. Students should plan on attending both days, as each part is vital to completing the map. Museum members eligible for discounts.
