Toothbrush Rugs & More

Friday, July 24, 2020

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, this class will be limited to four students and one instructor.

Learn how to make rugs using a time-honored tradition. This two-strand weaving technique creates a very strong, durable textile. Students should bring old sheets or other large pieces of woven fabric to start their rugs. In addition to learning how to make a toothbrush rug, instructor will demonstrate how to make “tee shirt yarn” which can be used to crochet rugs and other items. These techniques help us upcycle textiles that might otherwise end up in a landfill. Come learn great way to make custom accessories for your home!
