Cancelled: From below ground up: A behind-the-scenes look at the construction of Wanapum Dam with Christine Pratt

Wednesday, May 6, 2020

Follow the construction of Wanapum Dam - from excavating down to bedrock all the way to the ribbon-cutting celebration - through the award-wining art of Grant PUD staff photographer Carl Lewis.

Presenter Christine Pratt, Public Affairs Officer at Grant PUD, will provide the context behind Lewis’ most memorable photos taken during construction of the dam to provide not only an appreciation for the art of photography, but also the amount of planning, design, team-work and dedication it took to construct the facility that continues to provide clean, renewable energy for our region.

Christine came to Grant PUD in 2016 from The Wenatchee World newspaper, where she reported on PUDs and related energy and environmental issues for 14 years. She draws on that experience and enthusiasm in public power to keep the community and PUD staffers better informed about what is happening in and around Grant PUD.
