Civil Service Commission
The Civil Service Commission is specifically granted the authority and power in the place and stead of the City Council to adopt and enforce its rules and/or regulations concerning selection, appointment, and employment of Fire and Police personnel.
LEOFF1 Disability Board
The LEOFF 1 Disability Board represents their LEOFF 1 members pursuant to the authority of RCW 41.26.150.
Lodging Tax Advisory Committee
The purpose and intent of the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee is to review grant applications and make recommendations to the City Council regarding allocation of local lodging tax funds.
Municipal Airport Commission
This Commission advises the Council and staff, and works with other governmental bodies regarding matters on the operation of the airport such as projects, planning, and adoption of rules and regulations.
The duties of the Planning Commission are to hold public meetings, conduct hearings, and make recommendations to the City Council.
The City of Moses Lake utilizes the hearing examiner system for certain land use decisions, such as formal subdivisions, variances, and conditional use permits as well as appeals and various other decisions.
Park & Recreation Advisory Board
The Park and Recreation Advisory Board makes recommendations to the City Council for improvement and beautification of city owned squares, parks, and recreation facilities.
Transportation Benefit District
The Transportation Benefit District was established for the preservation, construction, and maintenance of the City's transportation infrastructure.
